The CloudEngine 6800 series switches have two power module slots, in which pluggable power modules can be installed. A chassis can use one or two power modules. In particular, dual power modules provide higher reliability. The CloudEngine 6800 series switches support dual power modules working in 1+1 backup mode. When both power modules are working properly, each power module provides half of the power for the switch. If one power module fails, the other one provides full power for the switch. All power modules are hot swappable. |
